ffmpuzzle presents one real-world encoding scenario a day. You guess the parameters a video engineer would actually pick — codec, quality, resolution, audio codec, container — in six tries. Green means exact, yellow means the right family, arrows point you up or down. The answer never reaches the browser: guesses are checked server-side.

Every puzzle has to be defensible: a real use case, a command that runs, and parameter values you could cite a source for. Players who disagree can contest any parameter from inside the game, and contributors can propose their own scenarios — credited on the puzzle when published. The archive holds every scenario published so far.
